For the last twenty years, Sofia Zobel-Elizalde has dedicated herself to dance, sharing her expertise as a teacher and raising funds to support dancers from diverse backgrounds through her renowned Steps Dance Studio.

Through the Steps Scholarship Foundation, which she established in collaboration with The Ayala Foundation’s Center for Excellence (Centex), Sofia has been instrumental in providing underprivileged students with access to quality primary education.

Furthermore, the foundation has played a pivotal role in establishing a dance school at Centex Batangas, where students can benefit from complimentary instruction in both music and dance.

The foundation runs scholarship programmes for disadvantaged children.

Among their former students are Elwince Magbitang and Raye Vince Pelegrin, who have been training at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School since they were noticed by Filipina-American ballet dancer Stella Abrera and her husband, Sascha Radets
